My husband has always been very supportive. I’d athlete to think dating he’ll run with me. He’s picked up a lot of my slack around while I’m gone. He goes to bed early with me on Friday date and listens to me talk about running and doesn’t complain about the clothing that I “need”. It’s a good arrangement. And after all, if date ran too, who would watch the kids?! So when do athlete get to hear about who he is? I would dating yes…we are hard to date or be married too. My wife endurance very supportive but it does wear on her. I am lucky see puts up with me!!!

Keeping going when your body hurts, your equipment breaks down, your biggest rival shoots past you, or when you realise you are behind on your target, is not easy. However, research tells us it is also a trait we can develop with the right training, although it is not always easy to do so 2. In my research, I have tried to gauge their mental toughness levels of hundreds of athletes, interviewing a few of athletes right at the top of the scale. Something that struck me was that they were incredibly robust. It is mental fragility. So with mental toughness being difficult to develop, perhaps instead we can look to boost our robustness by putting in place strategies which make us feel less flimsy or fragile, and more confident and concerted.

Mentally robust athletes know what they want and have become experts in breaking down their ambitions into clear, achievable goals. The process of setting and following these goals can increase motivation, commitment, concentration and confidence. It can also reduce negative anxiety and ultimately improve performance 3.

Tips For Dating a Triathlete

We qualified for the Half Ironman World Championships We also enjoy Crossfit, which is a part of our trining. We love to cook and bake and eat, and are constantly exploring new recipes and better ways to fuel ourselves.

This all began in high school when I started running cross country.

Needless to say, this did not go over very well. I was mostly kidding, but I think we both knew it to largely be true. Most of us are introverts. Sure, we may be the life of the party on the rare occasions we are out socializing. We may seem extroverted because of our tendency to be outgoing when others are around.

Either way, just be prepared for someone who likes to be a bit of a lone wolf. It takes a certain type to spend hours alone running and cycling, and that certain type usually has a penchant for solitude that may be disturbing to others.
